"AIPENDA SANA"
Almost every day that goes by, my 3-year old son says to me "aipenda sana".. What he usually means to say is "nakupenda sana" Swahili words for "I love you so much". He always says the words when I least expect it. We would be just watching tv, or just talking, etc and he would utter those two beautiful words. It is always a pleasure hearing him declare his love to his mother. However, every single time I cant help asking myself three questions: First, What really goes on in his mind that pushes him to tell me those words? Second, Does he really understand what love is? and Third, How can I make him understand what love truly is? The first two are a work in progress.. we will get to that in the days to come. As for the third, I have been doing my homework so that I can teach him (One thing motherhood has taught me is how to be a teacher and a student at the same time..😀) I asked myself what is love?
